Kaufman & Perri

Kaufman & Perri are Marcus Kaufman (lyrics) and Chris Perri (music). Kaufman is a professional technical / creative writer and vocalist. Recent credits include lyrics and libretto for It’s a Wonderful Life, a Kaufman & Perri Musical. Chris Perri (AKA Johnny Perri to fans of Atlantic Music 80’s rock band Eddie and the Tide) is a lead guitarist and composer with many years of studio and live performance experience.

Kaufman & Perri write in a wide range of musical styles, including country, rock and pop. Our latest big project is Hammer Alley, a rock music "Mockumentary" presented as a serial podcast (free and available on all major podcast platforms). Hammer Alley is humorously introduced by none other than Alice Cooper (yes, that Alice Cooper) and follows the dumpster-fire of an 80's rock band that almost makes it to the top. Songs for Hammer Alley, like most of our recent projects, were engineered and mixed by Andy Zenczak and recorded at his Gadgetbox Studio in Santa Cruz, CA. Thanks Andy, we truly could not do this without your wonderful talent. Hey and while we are at it, the session singer for all our country stuff is Matt Dame, absolutely one of the premiere demo singers in Nashville, who always seems to bring out the best in our country tunes.

Our song list on TAXI is a pretty eclectic mix, in addition to the country , TAXI passengers may enjoy listening to Zombies are in My Backyard (rock), Wassup Miami (Latin Pop) and a sweet country love song called The Angel I Need. Our latest recording, The Devil's Cocaine, a blues-stomp, features Kaufman on the vocals and Chris "Johnny" Perri on guitars. Check it out.
