The Mears Brothers have been writing and playing what they like to call "True Blue Collar American Music", since they were youngins'. And even though they were born and raised in Wisconsin, early on they took a shine to southern groups like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker and Alabama. They've been in Nashville since 1988 creating unique melodies and lyrics that every common man can relate to.
The Mears Brothers have won multiple awards such as Maxwell House "Songwriter of the Year" , NSI "Song of the Year" as well as other local and national awards. They've had two top ten indie hits.
Their song "blame it on the fact that I'm a man" was used in episode #28 of the popular HBO series TRUE BLOOD.
They landed 3 songs in the critically acclaimed Kevin Bacon move CopCar as well as cuts in ANG Lee movies, and numerous TV shows
