Sally Ries-Wacht Bio
After moving to New York City at 19 from Blue Springs, MO, Sally appeared on STAR SEARCH and won. At that moment, she decided that music competitions were not going to propel her to where she wanted to be.
Soon after Sally secured a record deal with EPIC Records as a member of a female vocal group, OSCAR, in the early 90’s.
Sally placed her first song, “Some People”, in the movie, Let It Be Me. It was recorded by the girl group, ETERNAL, and produced by the acclaimed, Michael Lloyd.
She sang backgrounds for many artists, notably, Daryl Hall (Hall&Oates), ENYA, Sister Sledge, Debbie Gibson, Rebie Jackson and the rap group, Tribe Called Quest, to name a few.
