Ray Winch

Ray is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where he was a member of the Reverence Gospel Ensemble. After Berklee he spent four years as a keyboard specialist at Manny's Music in midtown Manhattan. Sadly, Manny's was recently forced to close after more than 75 years in business. Ray spent the late 80's and early 90's performing in New York City Rock bands "Burning Bush" and "The Zen Archers".

In the mid 1990's, Ray went solo and developed a more acoustic sound. His performances shifted from the rock clubs to the coffeehouse circuit and acoustic venues such as the Back Fence in NYC. In 1998 he released his first full length CD "Visions & Reflections". In the late 1990's and early 2000's he and his band performed as the opening act for The Marshall Tucker Band and The Charlie Daniels Band. He also wrote the theme song for "The Big Greasy Breakfast", the morning show that ran until the late 2000's, on New Jersey's #1 Commercial Rock Station WDHA 105.5 fm.

Ray is currently the music director at the Flanders United Methodist Church. In 1998 he started and continues to run a monthly performance series called "The Sacred Bean Coffeehouse". He recorded his second CD there, a live effort entitled Ray Winch "Live at the Sacred Bean". He is working on a new set of original songs to be released on his upcoming CD.

Ray has also recently joined TAXI, the world's leading independent A&R company, in an effort to widen his musical palette and take advantage of opportunities in film, TV, and commercials.
