I started playing professionally over 25 years ago in Quebec City, Canada. I began on the blues scene and moved to rock, folk, singer song-writer and anything that inspires.
In 2001, I got into recording and producing music.
I am very blessed to have a number of close collaborators in the film and music community whom I can call upon when needed.
The heart of my studio is an analogue Harrison console from Nashville.
As much as possible we track rhythm sections live and get that real band feel.
My long time production partner Nik Lalonde is with me on many of these tracks.
We work with many different musicians. "Urban Spruce" is the name of our studio band.
My main instrument is guitar, I also play bass, upright bass, lap and pedal steel.
My influences are many, my mentors are Martin Taylor with whom I studied for 4 years, Jacquire King and Craig Alvin with whom I took production and mixing classes.
Billy Decker, a first call number 1 mix engineer in Nashville is not only a mentor but also one of my friends who has helped me tremendously.
