Mike Singer

Mike Singer is an independent songwriter, singer, musician, recordist, arranger and producer. His indie label, Hard Country Rock Records, releases an eclectic mix of country and Christian tunes with styles ranging from honkey tonk, traditional country, contemporary, country-rock, Southern gospel, Hebraic, Brazilian jazz, big band, singer-songwriter, and praise & worship. Mike began his professional career as lead singer, lyricist, songwriter and bassist with the legendary Tampa Bay prog-rock band, Mythril, which included Grammy-winning guitarist Jim Kimo West. After Mike left music to complete B.A. and M.A. degrees in English Literature, he began playing retro country, honkey tonk and country rock in local clubs and juke joints in South Florida with his band, Mike Singer and the Blazing Stars. Prominent members of the Blazing Stars included former S. Florida fiddle champion Jack Stamates, Tom Staley (NRBQ), Jack Brophy, Warren Busby (who named our style, "Heavy Country Metal") and Eric Overhultz.
