Matthew Shadley Brauer is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He was a fixture on the local music scene in Cincinnati from the late 1990s to the early 2000s, playing guitar and bass in several bands. In 2003 he formed the Matthew Shadley Band which was active until 2008. The band featured original, guitar-driven songs with vocal harmonies and earned a reputation as "Cincinnati's live show specialists" (Cincinnati Post - January 2005) and recorded two LPs and one EP. The band went on hiatus following the release of "Summer Stone" in 2008.
The band name was resurrected by Brauer during the COVID lockdowns when he began writing and recording new material at his studio on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This resulted in the full-length albums "Emerald" in 2022, "1970 Something" in 2023, and "Shaka" in 2024. Please visit the band's website (www.matthewshadleyband.com) to learn more.
