Mark Feil

Mark Feil is a composer, musician, and producer who has been writing, performing, and recording music for over forty years. He is classically trained, and has performed in orchestras, choirs, jazz ensembles, rock bands, musical revues, and as a solo artist. He's also recorded tracks for various local bands and artists, both as a bassist and as an engineer/producer.

During the late 90's, Mark assembled his first eight-track digital recording studio. On this basic equipment, he was able to produce music at a level of quality which enabled him to get placements in local tv and radio advertisements, and a track on the closing credits of an independent film called “Blackout," by Fear Film Studios. In 2008, after upgrading to a 24-track digital recorder, he released his self-produced debut solo album, “A Thousand Suns.”

Mark is now primarily focused on composing and producing instrumentals and cues for sync in addition to writing songs. He especially enjoys working on orchestral and orchestral hybrid, electronic, acoustic, and rock, and looks forward to the opportunity to score to picture. This became an ambition of his after taking great joy in creating his entry for a scoring competition during the summer of 2022.

Quite by chance, Mark currently resides in Oakland Park, FL, hometown to one of his bass heroes, the late, great, Jaco Pastorius. Here, Mark writes, records, and produces music from his acoustically treated home studio. Working with the power of state-of-the-art music production software in Logic Pro, his total imagination is finally able to flow without limitations. There’s no telling what he’ll come up with next, so stay tuned!
