Based in Colorado, Dave is an independent artist who began playing guitar when he was 12 years old. Although his early influences were heavily rock based (Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, …) he developed an appreciation for a wide variety of music. Later in life he studied classical and jazz piano with an amazing teacher, enriching his love of music even more. Dave has always loved music and always wanted to write and record but demands of a family and career were a higher priority. With his children fully grown and out on their own Dave made the decision to step away from the corporate world and finally dedicate his time to music.
Dave now writes, records, and produces music from his home studio. Using technology that he couldn't even dream of when he first started playing, Dave is able to combine live instruments with a seemingly endless supply of rich sound libraries to create music that was previously beyond his reach.
Dave's debut album, An Invitation To Be Still, uses piano plus a variety of libraries to create a collection of dreamy, reflective instrumental music. His second release, The Power of Optimism, takes a different turn and is very heavily electric guitar based. Earlier this year, as a result of a Taxi submission, a library reached out to Dave and requested an album of 10 piano based songs. Dave completed the album and signed the deal with the library in March.
