JOHN ATONIC

John Atonic is a Canadian music composer, producer, arranger, recording, mix and mastering engineer in Edmonton Alberta. Affiliated with SOCAN under his legal name John Wittan.
He studied music at Grant MacEwan Community College in Edmonton (which is now called MacEwan University); and started song writing, composing, arranging and producing music with legendary multi-track Tascam 4-track Cassette Porta-Studio. He was a professional guitarist touring Canada with a variety of bands from Pop Rock to Country over a period of about 10 years.
Early influences by Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Cream, and the Beatles. Later influences of Beethoven, Mozart, Stravinsky, Tchaikovsky, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin; to name a few in the classical and jazz world.
He caught the EDM bug in 2011 and draws his influences from a multitude of EDM genres. In his home studio he creates tracks from scratch using music scoring software to create MIDI files and designs his sounds with Reason samplers, drums and synthesizers ReWired to Reaper for recording vocals, mixing and mastering.
He also has a Diploma in Audiovisual Communications from GMCC, a Diploma in Computer Systems Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and as a Programmer Analyst.
