Jeff Corle is a professional performing songwriter who writes songs from the unique perspective of being a 4th generation dairy farmer, which by default makes him a keen observer of and commentor on American life.
Corle left the farm and spent his formative years in Nashville honing his songwriting craft, studying and learning from the pantheon of great songwriters there in the 90's and early 2000's, for a while touring with and learning everything he could under the tutelage of country music legend Earl Thomas Conley. With many publishing credits to his name and having had his songs recorded by other country and folk artists including Edwina Hayes , Corle decided to relocate back home to the farm in Pennsylvania where he took over for his dad, farming full-time and shifting gears away from writing purely commercial country songs, chasing the flavor of the month, to writing more about his own real-life experiences often times inspired by his farm life.
But when economic factors forced him to shut down the family farm and sell his beloved Guernsey cows, Corle was left heart-broken and depressed. The first song to come out of that heartache and pain was the heart wrenching ballad, Empty Barn. The viral success of Empty Barn, Corle's first ever independent release with over 130k totally organic YouTube views and thousands of streams is proof positive that his brand of hard-hitting, heartfelt, traditional leaning music still has a market.
Following in the tradition of his outlaw country heroes like Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, and Willie Nelson, Jeff Corle's music combines hard-hitting truths etched from a lifetime of farming, trucking, and playing music in blue-collar bars with the poetry, story-telling mastery, and melodic genius of a man whose time to shine alongside songwriting luminaries like Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, and Chris Stapleton has arrived.
Jeff Corle is a farmer and artist who has something to say and isn't afraid to say it.
His first single, Empty Barn, which shed light on the plight of small dairy farmers and the farmer mental health crisis garnered Corle national media attention and legions of new fans inspiring him to record his debut album, Farm Animal, and allowing him to tour extensively throughout the Northeast and Midwest.
From the beautifully rendered heartbreaking ballad, Empty Barn, featuring Tammy Rogers on fiddle, to country outlaw barn burners like Farm Animal, to the not so delicately messaged, Shit on the Road and the straight up-country rocker Come Together-America and more recent Americana leaning gems like, Sweet Memories (Merry Christmas from the Street) and The Bridge, there can be little doubt that Corle is indeed not afraid to speak his mind through his music.
Though Corle is proud that he is now truly writing straight from his heart with his own unique style, he's never lost his flair for a great hook and the ability to write a great hook and hit song.
A Jeff Corle song has a unique and unmistakable signature while at the same time carrying the ability to have huge commercial appeal and success. If you want to hear what a real farmer with a lifetime of experience has to say, give Jeff Corle a listen.
