I’m American, living in the UK since 1989.
I’ve been playing this music for decades, but wrote my first song at 65. So no longer a youngster.
While I’ll continue writing and recording, I’m not looking to build a career as an act or work on regular gigs in a professional sense, so if you’re looking for young and upcoming acts with stage potential, I’m not likely to qualify.
As JackDaw, we pick up two or three small London gigs a year and that’s fine with me.
With the help of some talented and supportive London musicians, JackDaw has recorded two CDs of my original material in the last couple of years. The recent one has had some pretty glowing reviews in the UK music press, which I'm happy to share.
I’d like to think the songs stand up on their own and that they might have a life beyond where they now are.
I submit them with this in mind.
Thanks,
Rob
