Silas Durocher

Silas Durocher is a songwriter, producer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist who creates music in a wide range of genres with various projects, including The Get Right Band, Pop Fiction, Getgo Collective, and Lovestruck Suckers. He has toured extensively with The Get Right Band, playing guitar, singing, and fronting the psychedelic indie rock group from Asheville, NC. Silas is also a composer who has written for symphoneis and chamber groups.

Born in Austin, Texas and raised near DC in Maryland, Silas began writing songs and playing in bands at the age of 13. Throughout high school and college, he worked in many genres, including rock, funk, blues, reggae, pop, and Americana, and earned a degree in classical composition.

With his main project, The Get Right Band, Silas has toured throughout the US and the Caribbean for 12 years and has released six albums so far. The Get Right Band has shared the stage with Dr. Dog, Everclear, UB40, Rusted Root, Smash Mouth, Cracker, and Lifehouse; been featured on NPR’s World Cafe, Paste Studio, and WTF with Marc Maron; and performed at major venues and festivals including The Fillmore, Brooklyn Bowl, Theatre of the Living Arts, The Orange Peel, FloydFest, Bristol Rhythm & Roots, and Riverbend Fest. The band is known for their inventive music videos and high energy live shows.

Silas lives in Asheville, North Carolina, where he is immersed in the exciting music scene, playing and recording with nationally and internationally touring artists, writing songs, composing, and always plotting the next project!
