David Massey writes and sings in the tradition of John Prine, Steve Forbert, Todd Snider, and other "Americana" singer/songwriters. His debut CD, "Blissful State of Blue," was released in 2004; the follow-up, "So Many Roads," came out in 2009 and his third record, "Until the Day Is Done," was released in 2015. All three garnered impressive reviews as well as radio play in Europe and on college stations in the US. Until the Day Is Done included two songs that spent most of the summer of 2016 in the Roots Music Report's Top Ten Folk-Rock Singles chart (based on radio spins). David plays frequently in various combinations - most recently a trio with Jay Byrd and Jim Robeson - at clubs and bars in the Washington D.C. area.
