Raised in a small New England town, Newtown, CT, she came from an incredibly musical family. Every get together, turning into harmonies and writing sessions. With her guitar in hand, Courtney began writing her own songs and playing at local, small town venues.

In 2014, Courtney moved across the country to San Diego, CA. She played at local bars and venues in the San Diego area, honing her skills and developing her unique sound. It was during this time that she discovered her love for farming, and the beauty of her country roots. Her love for music was nurtured and inspired by her experience farming. Courtney learned the value of hard work and dedication from her days as a farmer, and those same values have carried over into her music career.

In 2020, Courtney Jean signed her first publishing deal with Peer Music, marking a major milestone in her career and showcased her growth as an artist and songwriter. To follow, in 2022 Courtney released her debut album, "Cabin in the Woods''. The record is a reflection of her love for nature, and features songs that tell stories of love, loss, and self-discovery.
