The Mood started 12 years ago when two friends came together to try to write a song. What started as a hobby shared between two friends has turned into a passion shared by both. To date, the band has just completed its fifth album, Locked Out.
Through the years, The Mood has combined the simple sounds of folk with the rich sounds of pop. They like to use introspective lyrics to tell stories as well as examine the human condition. The Mood uses sophisticated arrangements for a more polished sound while still holding true to it's melodies.
The Mood has been blessed to work with great singers, song writers, and musicians that have generously shared their talents. In their previous album Seven Days, the band recorded with veterans such as Jon Carrol of the Starland Vocal Band and John Jennings who produced May Chapin Carenter's Grammy winning albums. They have had multiple songs signed by publishers with InStyle Music Inc. and ScoreKeepers Music, Inc. The Mood continues to grow and push their own limits while working with the talented singer/songwriter Chip Johnson.
