In 2014, a shared creative vision united four great friends - Carter Laird, Kyle Laird, Brian Gosling and Kyle Clarke. This tight-knit group faced a significant test when drummer Clarke underwent multiple brain surgeries due to a life-threatening diagnosis of Arteriovenous Malformation, leading to a halt in all projects until his full recovery in 2016. Despite this challenging experience, their bond, friendship, and gratitude deepened, infusing their music with a renewed sense of purpose.
In August 2018, they released their debut full-length album, featuring the collaboration "Purgatory" with Brook Reeves of Impending Doom and tackling themes of damaged relationships, addiction, and societal immorality. In Vain, their latest full-length release on October 6, 2023, has been their most successful to date, amassing over 5 million global streams.
Recently, the band achieved a significant milestone by performing at Hell & Heaven Open Air 2023 in Mexico, where they shared the stage with Slipknot, Guns n' Roses, A Day To Remember, Bad Omens, and Muse. The band has received praise and recognition from metal fans worldwide, establishing a strong presence in the global music industry.
As The Structure Fails is currently working on their forthcoming album Farewell, which builds on their signature blend of hard rock and metal with deeply personal themes and powerful dynamics. The creation of Farewell signifies a crucial chapter in their growth as a band and highlights their growth as musicians.
Look for Farewell, their next full-length project in 2025
