Robin Ruddy, originally from Miami Florida, won a Grammy in the category of Best Traditional Folk Album in 2004, for playing banjo and singing on Beautiful Dreamer; Songs of Stephen Foster.

She toured with Rod Stewart as a multi-instrumentalist for almost three years traveling to 26 countries. She toured with Lynn Anderson for 14 years playing pedal steel, banjo, dobro, guitar and singing harmonies. Robin has also worked with Shania Twain, Ray Stevens, Vince Gill, David Ball, Terry Clark , Deborah Allen, and many others.

She’s written songs that have been recorded by Lynn Anderson, Aberdeen Green, The Darlins, Savannah Lynne, Sarah Alison Turner, Holland Marie, Tim Watson, Emma Leigh, Kelsey K , Wade Trammell, Kim & Kandy, Kettle of Fish and many other artists.

Her song I’m Just a Girl can be heard in the 2019 movie Santa Girl.

She was nominated for Best Film Score for her music in the film Coming Home Again in the 48-hr film Festival.

Robin is the Author of her second book titled Coconuggets, 10-Secrets to Success in a Coconut Shell. The first book is a banjo instructional book called The Ruddy Method- Beginner banjo.

In 2018 she released an educational CD for children called Miss Robin’s Musical Farm-The Kookie Bouzouki on Center Sound Records.

In 2019 Robin and Sarah Wilfong released Kettle of Fish - Celtic Christmas, on Parlor Records, a Celtic Blend of Original and Traditional Christmas songs.

In 2022, she is releasing Healing Happens on Parlor Records, a personal journey from grief to healing.

She owns and operates, a commercial recording studio and production facility Parlor Productions, and the publishing company Best Built Songs-ASCAP and Hammering the Hits-BMI and takes pride in fostering community and developing artists.
