"International Guitar of Mystery Captivates Undomesticated Guitarist"
Mark Steinhauser has always had a love for music - sneaking into his brother's room when he was a kid to play his brothers red, white, and blue Glenn Campbell guitar. He would ride or walk a few miles as often as he could to hang out at the local Cinderwood Music guitar shop. Mark has played with numerous cover and original bands and has recorded and played with producers. He enjoys playing at local venues including the Soiled Dove, Bluebird Theater, Herman's Hideaway and the local Parker venue Wild Goose Saloon that hosts national touring acts.
Mark had the privilege of assisting with the Colorado Guitar Show in February this year (2024) and had an amazing time meeting and interviewing luthiers, amp builders, and guitar collectors. It was at this show that he picked up his latest guitar, a rare Edward Victor Dick guitar built in Ottawa in 1991, #145. This well-worn but beautiful guitar features Koa, Ebony and Wooly Mammoth inlaid ivory and is a true joy to play! It has inspired his latest project, which is a solo acoustic guitar album currently in the works.
