Sam Marks

Sam is a life long student and creator of music with an eclectic and interesting background. He currently works at Wattle Street Studios in Sydney as a freelance composer and is consistently writing music for prime time tv shows, documentaries and video games.

Sam studied a Bachelor of Composition at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, a Bachelor of Audio Production at SAE, and has played in multiple rock bands during the past decade.

Although he has the love and ability to compose across a large variety of styles and genres, he is most passionate about fantasy worlds and romantic orchestral music. His music has a unique atmosphere driven essence, melodic vision, and story telling nature to it that captures the listeners imagination. This can be demonstrated by the high interaction of his audience on his pieces on YouTube.

Sam is also a full-time working performer in Sydney, where he sings and plays guitar on a regular weekly basis.

Sam's original rock music, which he began releasing in 2020, has seen support from Triple J (National Australian Radio), Triple J Unearthed, MTV, Aus Music Scene, The AU Review, AAA Backstage and more.
