JUICE THA BLACK BEETHOVEN

Julius "JUICE" Davis, JR., aka JuiceThaBlackBeethoven, was born in the Birthplace of Jazz (New Orleans, Louisiana), but raised in the Birthplace of Rock And Roll (Cleveland, Ohio)...he is a Piano-Playin' Classical, Cajun Rock and Roller!

Classically trained in piano, "JUICE" began piano lessons at the age of 7 when his parents (Inez Ellinor Lawrence and Julius Joseph Davis, Sr.), who were also musicians, moved from New Orleans to Cleveland in 1963...they immediately enrolled young "JUICE" in the Cleveland Music School Settlement, a landmark community School of Music. It was here where young "JUICE" learned Music Theory, Sight-Singing, Ear Training, and Piano for the next ten years...upon graduation from Shaw High School in 1974, "JUICE" earned a full music scholarship in Piano to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, earning the Degree of Bachelor of Music, with a major concentration in Piano Performance, and a Minor Concentration in Music Education.

With his heart set on being a great concert pianist, as well as the Black Elton John, Juice finally found his niche in 1979 when he began to write and compose his own original songs...and in 1984, he had his first major hit song, "STRIVE," which was recorded by the R&B/Disco Icon, GLORIA GAYNOR, and, the song was included on her album, "I AM GLORIA GAYNOR," in the Summer of 1984. The song was also released globally as a single, and reached #86 on the Billboard Top 100 Pop Singles Chart in the Summer of 1984.

"JUICE" continues to compose and record music of ALL GENRES...currently, his first Album/EP, titled, "JUICE'S HALLOWEEN SMASH BASH," will be officially released by WOA Records International (based in London, England), on October 18, 2024, and will include five (5) of his original Pop/Dance Halloween songs, specifically for children and youth. Under his Artist Name, JuiceThaBlackBeethoven, he continues to perform publicly in churches, and on stages, but his first love is to write and compose great lyrics, great melodies, and great songs....for the WORLD.....
