BIO
Formed in 2013 from the ashes of Rock Stars of America, Jimmy Reece and Bart Griggs
began recording their debut album entitled INDIVISIBLE. Wanting to maximize the album’s full
potential regarding sound, the duo recruited the legendary rock recording engineer and
producer Eddie Kramer, whose resume includes: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and
Kiss.
Make no mistake: THIS IS A CLASSIC ROCK ALBUM. It contains ten original tracks. The
influences include: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Byrds, & Tom Petty.
Featuring Jimmy Pharaoh (Lead and Backing Vocals, Drums and String Arrangements) and
Bart Griggs (Lead and Backing Vocals, Rhythm and Lead Guitar), the songwriting duo combine
sweet harmonies with irresistible rhythms. The two over the past decade have formed a unique
and original sound worthy of the classic rock genre.
WISTERIA HALL IS…
JIMMY REECE: A career musician, Jimmy Pharoah started his performing career in 1989
as a Lead Vocalist with his first band ELECTRIC SUNSET. An original rock unit, The band
placed in the top three of WBAB’s best of Long Island 1991. The band also released two
albums that received critical acclaim from Good Times Magazine and was also featured on
WBAB… In 1994 Pharaoh moved on to his next project WARDANCE, assuming the role of
Lead Vocalist once again. With a progressive rock approach, Wardance went on to become
Good Times Magazine’s 1995 best new band of the year. The band was promoted and
featured on Long Island’s News 12, WBAB, and Newsday. They also released two critically
acclaimed CDs, headlined legendary NYC Club CBGB’s and were courted by no less than
Polydor Records. Critics and colleagues have described Pharaoh’s vocals and performance as
a mixture of John Lennon melodicism with the stage presence of Jim Morrison.
Looking to explore new instruments, styles, and sounds, Pharaoh joined established original
band ROCK STARS OF AMERICA. This group featured Vocalist/Guitarist/Composer BART
GRIGGS, a long time friend of Pharaoh’s. The two had been playing music together on a casual
basis for almost two decades, making the chemistry an easy fit. In addition to adding
harmonies to the band, Pharaoh contributed drum tracks for the band’s second album. Rock
Stars of America had previously worked with famed Engineer and Producer Jim Bonnefond who
had previously worked with Kool and The Gang. The band released two albums. The first album
was critically acclaimed by Good Times Magazine.
BART GRIGGS: Bart, a self-taught Guitarist and Vocalist began writing songs inspired by his
exposure to musical legends and bands that were to shape and influence his ideas for years to
come. After years of practice and live band experience, Bart was ready to record his first
collection of compositions. Griggs soon formed the band ROCK STARS OF AMERICA.
Seeking a producer, Bart enlisted the help of Jim Bonnefond, who had previously worked with
Kool & the Gang, amongst many others. Together the "Rock Stars of America" began to record
their first CD entitled "Rock Star Headquarters." Bonnnefond believed they had a sound that
was inventive, yet reminiscent of the melodic hooks and harmonies of classic rock. Assisting Jim
early on was Engineer Dan Grigsby (Keith Richards and Paula Abdul among many others) who
helped set the tone of the band in the studio. Sterling Sound's Mastering Legend Ted Jensen
(Green Day, The Eagles, The Police, Billy Joel, Pete Townshend, and countless others) was
brought in to put the finishing touches on the album.
This album was critically acclaimed by Good Times Magazine. The band was featured on local
radio and was well received on streaming services such as JANGO. The band went on to record
a follow-up CD “Brother, Where You Been?”, recruiting long time friend Jimmy Pharaoh for
Vocals, Drums, Mixing and Composing. This ultimately led to the formation of WISTERIA HALL.
