Mary Zalla

Mary is a lyricist from Covington, Kentucky and writes mostly in the country genre and also enjoys creating for the holiday music market. Mary is the mother of four children, two boys and two girls ages nine to 20. She grew up on a farm the oldest of 10 children where she raised cattle, tobacco, corn, and hay. Mary also raised horses, mostly appaloosas and quarter horses. Her life on the farm and Kentucky inspires much of her writing.
Mary has been a writer in some shape or form her entire life. She wrote poetry and short stories as a child and started her professional career as a copywriter at an advertising agency. She went on to work for two other companies before joining Landor, a global brand consulting and design firm. Mary held many positions during her 25-year career with Landor including Branding Director, Managing Director, New Business Development Director, President and then Global CEO, where she oversaw 24 studios around the world.
