Tristan Zimmermann

All the way from Cape Town, South Africa, comes the story of a man by the name of Tristan Zimmermann. Once a DJ and a bedroom musician, Tristan soon discovered that he needed an outlet for his numerous passion projects. Slowly but steadily, he made his way into the world of music synchronization. There, he could write various styles of pop and dance music to his heart's delight while at the same time exploring the exhilarating and emboldening tones of the more cinematic-style musical works.

Tristan became professionally active within the music-to-picture industry in 2018 at the age of 22. Since then his music has been featured on a number of TV Shows & Films including, Love Island (US) (2021-2024), Queer Eye (2020-2024), History's Greatest Heists (2023), Cold Case Files (2024) & Fantasy Island (2020).

As a composer, Tristan also enjoys the undertaking of writing a meaningful score and has long been an admirer of the magical moment when music and good storytelling meet. As a result, he has participated in his capacity as composer on numerous short films during The 48H Film Project festivals in 2021 ("Killer Date"), 2022 ("Couples Counseling") & 2024 ("A Handful of Fate").

In recent years, he has scored two South African feature length short films; "Meisiekind" (2024) & "Nuwejaar" (2024), available on Showmax.
