"Safe From Waves" is the third full length album from New Orleans born artist Ted Sams, who has created an interesting mix of classic rock and southern soul that helps set the perfect backdrop for his well written often autobiographical stories

Sams, a 21st century nomad, has spent time in Tallahassee, Los Angeles Portland Phoenix Thailand and Memphis- where he worked as an assistant engineer for producing legend Jim DIckenson-Sams draws influences from all the different local flavor of the places he has lived

'Safe From Waves"- Sams most rock record to date- has songs that cover separation, desolation, war, spiritual crises, natural disaster ( Sams lost all his belongings and almost his life in the Tsunami that destroyed large parts of Thailand when he was working as an underwater photographer in 2004.) as well as substance abuse and murder. Although all the songs stand alone the entire album tells an interesting story when listened to as a full body of work.

Sams does all of the writing, singing and guitar playing but has enlisted an ever changing rotation of crack studio musicians to help him come up with his eclectic yet memorable sound.

Sams is planning to stay busy in 2025 working on more songs, doing lots of local gigging and he is also working with NACA to get live shows on college campuses across the country.

"Safe from Waves" is a solid record beginning to end that finds a lifelong musician and talented songwriter hitting his stride and is well worth the listen for the rich stories and high quality musicianship it features.
