Reed Gesteland
Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo
Reed Gesteland is a US composer and songwriter. Reed's melodic style reflects heavy influences from classical music and orchestral film scores. Growing up in a household where the radio was permanently tuned to the classical channel, he fell in love with film scores devouring music from Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer, Patrick Doyle, to mention just a few.
Reed learned piano and classical guitar during his childhood while also singing in various school and church choirs. He pivoted to songwriting later on in his musical career. He currently collaborates on songs with his twin brother, Thor Gesteland, a classically trained pianist and tenor, while composing instrumentals for TAXI.
