Not many lead-singing drummers around. Phil Collins obviously. My favorite was Karen Carpenter. What a voice! I searched for a drummer for a few years, but got fed up, and now I do it myself. The percussive key for my songs is simplicity – not a common drummer attribute! Strangely that puts my playing into an approximately pitch-less mode, instead of my more habitual guitar. Ten years in a church choir pushed me in the direction of a chordal approach to music. Many lifetimes ago. Like my first released recorded offering: “Travellin’ Light” with Dave Deighton. Was that really in 1978? Yes. Currently attributed on Spotify to someone else unfortunately! That’s the way the cookie crumbles (sometimes). More recently “Lunar Country” CD as a part of Hotdog4theMoon. In between the two many appearances as musician, producer or engineer in studio or on stage. Often fader pusher. What fun! New single “Lukn 4 a Wmn” coming out in October. With Hotdog4theMoon. Life looks bright.
