I watch the stars and dream of you my dear
Floating in the cosmos
But never near
I sent my love with every rocket blast
Your skyward journey
took my heart so fast
Your eyes saw worlds
that I’ll never know
My heart’s a lonely planet in your glow
Each mission’s countdown echoes in my mind
I yearn for days when love was intertwined

My heart’s adrift in the Milky Way
Lost in space since you went away
I wish upon each falling star
Bring you back from where you are

You kissed me goodbye
at the launchpad gate
Now every night I lie awake and wait
Gravity can’t bind my love to ground
And the void it's where my heart is bound

Through black holes and galaxies afar
My tears from constellations in the dark
I miss the warmth of your embrace
Orbiting your love in endless space
