Antony D Carter / Antone

Antony is a product of the south side of Chicago. He grew up in church singing in an A Cappella worship environment where the emphasis was on tight harmonious singing. His father was the choir director and worship leader. Antony took piano lessons from the age of five and soon began to play the trumpet, drums, and saxophone. In high school he expanded into writing, recording, and producing his own music as well as joining his first band and although music videos were brand new in the industry, Antony even directed and shot a music video of one of his original songs.

From high school until now Antony has continued performing, writing, producing, and recording music in multiple genres. He has been featured on hundreds of festivals, corporate, wedding and church stages in Chicago and the Midwest. Antony is the lead singer for two live performance bands - the Associates Band and Second City Soul. He has flourished as a solo Neo Soul artist under the pseudonym, Antone, having written, produced, and released 2 R&B CD's and many singles. Several of the songs off these projects have been featured on internet radio and have been made into music videos. “She Knows” by Antone is his R&B hit song that is rising in popularity quickly around the world on streaming platforms. Antony has also stayed connected to his gospel roots. For over 20 years he was choir director and worship leader for his church, and member of a traveling gospel Quintet - The United Quintet of Chicago. As director of his church choir Antony recorded 7 CD's and won a Christian Acapella Music Award in 2004. He also released his solo gospel recording entitled, "My All".
