Minford, Ohio
I am the proverbial kid who grew up the "holler" in southernmost part of Ohio, along the Ohio River in the tri-state region of Ohio, Kentucky, & West Virginia. Born to a steelworker father and homemaker mother, I have a storied life and occupational history, also working in a steel mill, grocery store stock boy and ultimately assistant manager, maintenance man, carpenter, professional baseball player, Chiropractic physician, and college professor. Growing up in one of the poorest parts of Ohio and having worked hard to put myself through college and playing college basketball and ultimately attaining a Doctorate in Chiropractic, a constant in my life has always been a love of music and competition. I'm a big lyric guy; I like the words and the natural melody they create. Although I'm not a musician, the majority of me demos are my vocal melodies. I haven't done very much at all with the many many songs I've written but now have the time and motivation to get more demos produced with the ultimate goal to affect people with them. I have aspirations to have larger audiences enjoy these compositions and affect some change in them. I want to give people the emotional connection to my songs that I have gotten from so many myself. I joined Taxi several years ago with very positive feedback in the critiques but just wasn't ready. I had a life, a wife, two boys and a career.......life was just too demanding. Now, with our boys both in successful careers, I have the time to pursue this as more than just a hobby. I not only hope people enjoy these songs, but that someone deems them good enough to request a bigger use for them to a bigger audience. I'm excited about the future!
I'LL JUST PRAY
