Adelide

Adelide is a Brooklyn based singer-songwriter who interweaves coolly personal lyrics with twinkling synthesizers and lush guitars to create her own signature brand of soul pop. Her music lives in a world of implied intimacy, like the corner of an old photograph or an overheard conversation. It is a space to reimagine and confront the past in a haze of fog machines and strobe lights.

In 2017, Adelide earned a bachelor’s degree in Studio Music and Jazz Vocal Performance at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. These years were formative for building professional skills, but Adelide slowly started to realize that focusing the scope of her vision exclusively on jazz was cutting her off from some of the music that she loved the most.

She continued her studies at the New England Conservatory of Music, where she received her master’s degree in Jazz Studies in 2019. At NEC, Adelide rediscovered her love of writing original songs and for the first time, began to make music that connected her technical expertise with her long-dormant pop sensibilities. She has refined her writing style over the years into what has now become the foundation for Adelide's signature funky soul-pop sound.

Adelide is poised for an exciting year with her most recent singles catching the attention of publications such as Earmilk, Bust Magazine, and Conversations About Her. Her fan base has seen exciting growth in 2024, thanks to viral reels and an increase in streaming numbers hitting almost 7k monthly listeners for the first time in her career. Her next single is set for an early September 2024 release.
